2024 UGA Game Times & SEC Football TV Package

*games in bold have been announced

How this will work: ABC/ESPN and the conference will determine game times based on their previously announced slots (Early - Noon-1pm; Afternoon - 3:30-4:30; Flex - 3:30-8; Night - 6-8). All of the unscheduled UGA games are listed as flex. I considered other conferences’ schedules and marquee matchups, while trying to figure out how ESPN and Fox are going to out do each other in each time slot. I’d expect them to announce game times the Sunday before each week.

Notes and thoughts:

  • Look, I *feel* like I’m way off here with the national games. My heart is saying “what a maroon.” My head is saying “ABC paid to have access to all these games and the schedules line up so there are not many other competing SEC, ACC or Big12 games those weeks, so it makes sense.” ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • Keep in mind – ABC will have a 3:30 SEC game, and the SEC Network will have a game in each slot (noon, 4ish, 7ish) every week.

  • Yes, there are a lot of ABC Saturday Night Primetime national games. See the first bullet point.

  • Auburn is the pick I feel the most comfortable with. That is Clemson vs FSU weekend, so that game will be the ABC Saturday Night Game.

  • Mississippi State – Mississippi at LSU is already set for the ‘night’ slot, so I think they’ll have ABC/ESPN. One of those flex games has to be on the night SECN slot.

  • I have Texas at 3:30, mainly because that is the same day as Alabama at Tennessee. IF we beat Bama, that game in Knoxville is probably a de facto SEC Championship elimination game for one of those teams. It is the pick I feel least comfortable about.

  • Mississippi is a 3:30 lean, but could be noon. Bama plays at LSU that day, Oklahoma plays at Missouri (reviving an old Big 8/12 rivalry) that day. One of those three have to be on SEC Network at noon based on the other games slotted that day. I’m betting it’ll be Okie at Mizzou, but if the wheels fall off the Lane Train, it could be our game. Also, it is a pretty big national week with Notre Dame at FSU, and Virginia Tech at Clemson.

  • Tennessee is a tough choice. There are only two flex games that weekend, and the overall national schedule isn’t great. Someone has to play that night game.

  • I’ve already pointed this out, but I am psyched Georgia Tech is on Black Friday at 7:30. I forgot we could play them anytime but noon.
